• How does the Families In Need Foundation support families at Boston Children’s Hospital?

  The Families In Need Foundation provides funding to Boston Children's Hospital that is used to help families who need assistance pay for meals, transportation, utility bills and other expenses while caring for a child with cancer.

• Why do these families need assistance?

  Many parents are unable to work or have to miss time while their child is being treated at Boston Children's Hospital. As a result, they experience a loss of income and have a difficult time paying for their home and other bills. The financial hardship also increases stress on families that are already facing unimaginably painful situations. The BCH “Extraordinary Needs Fund” is aligned with the Families in Need Foundation to provide financial assistance to these families, allowing them to make ends meet while their child undergoes treatment.

• Where does the funding come from?

  While Families In Need does partner with other select organizations, it relies predominantly on donations from individuals.

• How much of the donation proceeds go to families in need?

  100% OF YOUR DONATION will go toward helping families in need. There are no administrative fees or expenses.
