THE COST OF HER COMMUTE

A 7-month-old boy already with a history of Simpson-Golabi-Behmel Syndrome is additionally diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma. The boy lives at home with his mother, father and two siblings. With the home being outside the city, his mother reports significant financial stress associated with the frequent commute to and from Boston Children’s Hospital. Although his father works to support the family, they struggle to make ends meet. Gas cards, utility and rental assistance, grocery cards and clothing vouchers were provided to help the family in their time of need.
